Reviewing The Fortress

Old habits die hard.

In this week's episode of How I Met Your Mother, titled, "the Fortress", Ted ends up finding another girl after posing as his friend Marshall's husband.

However, most of the episode revolves around Barney and Robin struggling with what to do about Barney's apartment.

After hosting an open house, Robin found a couple interesting in Barney's apartment. However, she revokes her offer after the couple wished to completely remodel the place.

Like all HIMYM episodes, there were several continuing story lines, such as Barney's "high-fives", his inventions (all labeled "By Stinson", Barney's last name), and Lily's new job working for the Captain.

The episode cleverly weaves these existing story lines into the new one, creating a comical and entertaining environment.

The use of the Jor-El head projector was particularly creative, as the title of the episode is a reference to Superman's Fortress of Solitude.

Previewing How I Met Your Mother: The Fortress

What kind of trouble will Ted Mosby get into this week on CBS's How I Met Your Mother?

The last time we saw Ted Mosby (played by Josh Radnor), he was sitting on the curb outside of his apartment with his friends, after this crazy chick Jeanette blew up the infamous "Playbook" with a bunch of fireworks and dropped it out his window.

The "Playbook" is a large, leather-bound book owned by Ted's friend Barney (played by Neil Patrick Harris), that contains all the "plays" that he runs to pick up women.

The "Playbook", and the plays Barney "ran", were a staple of the show up until Barney proposed to his now-fiance, Robin (Cobie Smulders), earlier this season.

Last week, after the "Playbook" was destroyed (along with many of his other possessions), Ted vowed to stop dating, and to "settle down".

Will he stay true to his word?
